These stools are made from English Ash cut down due to the widespread ash dieback in the UK. The bettle leaves an interesting grain and does not compromise the strength of the wood. The seat is made from Danish paper cord and is woven in a modern style.

This Sideboard was made as a variation on the previous console table made during my degree. The client wanted something similar, but smaller and made with contrasting woods to match the monochrome styling of the room. The drawers in this sideboard are hand-made with wooden drawer runners and dovetailed drawers. The faces of the drawers are made from English Sycamore and Walnut. The woven strips are also made from English Sycamore. The styling of the legs is an alteration to the original design, being slightly more tapered, and the ‘branch’ supports have been removed to give this piece a more contemporary look.

Nesting Tables - English Oak Version These nesting tables were designed in a Mid-Century Modern style and as the name suggests they nestle together. The three tables can stack perfectly one over the other and can be made with any choice of material. The material used for this set of tables is Quarter-sawn English Oak. They were made to complement the flooring of the living room that they would be used in.

These two chairs were designed to test the viability of making affordable and sustainable furniture for younger professional couples moving into their first home. This has been done by batch-making the chairs using jigs and other repeatable methods. The materials chosen for these chairs were specifically for sustainability. The wood chosen was locally felled timber that would have been burnt because of its colour inconsistencies. The cord is made entirely from dyed recycled paper. These chairs are also made with traditional wedged joinery so that no glue is needed. This allowed the chairs to be almost completely sustainable which will help to appeal to the younger market with a more sustainability-focused lifestyle.
